Natural Order

These images are excerpts from my photobook 'Natural Order', completed in June 2009. The book examines the reciprocal relationship between environment and identity, specifically between landscape and Englishness. The photographs were taken with the concept of the book in mind, and thus were never intentionally iconic. Many of the subjects however, were conceived of iconic notions to both illustrate and inform national identity.
